UN World Music Project at the Geneva Fête de la musique, 2011

The UN Music Club was well represented at the Geneva Fête de la musique, 2011, with performances by the UN World Music Project and the UN Flute & Strings Ensemble on Sunday, 19 June. This was the first time that any of the Club's groups participated in this event which is held annually and is sponsored by the City of Geneva.

The programme, which lasted nearly one hour, included trios by Joseph Haydn, W.A. Mozart, Carl Stamitz and Georg Telemann.

Although the weekend festival began with cool, rainy weather, by Sunday the weather had cleared and the afternoon sunshine was greatly appreciated by both the performers and the audiences at the outdoor concerts.
