Jazzing up the opening of the UN Beach Club, 2009

The UN Music Club provided a variety of musical entertainment at the opening of the UN Beach Club on Saturday, 9 May 2009.

The musicians played in two mixed formations:

• the first group comprised Alex Mangwiro (bass), Marco Benvenuti (drums), Patrice Piguet (sax & flute), and Jay Wormus (guitar & vocals);
• the second group comprised Candra Darusman (keyboard), Andrew Fluckinger (drums), Patrice Piguet (sax & flute), Jay Wormus (guitar & vocals) and Mimi Ameti (vocals).

The programme was complemented by Dina Pejovic who sang a selection of international folk songs, accompanied by Candra and Patrice.
