World Information Society Day
Performance at ITU, 16 May 2007

As part of the commemoration of
the World Information Society Day, a quintet composed of
Nicolas Stauble (bass), Jay Wormus (guitar & vocals),
Patrice Piguet (sax & flute), Andrew Fluckinger (drums) and
Rick Troxel (piano) provided a number of musical interludes
during the ceremony which lasted nearly 90 minutes.
The ceremony was attended by
numerous representatives of UN organizations and Permanent
Missions of Member States. During the ceremony an ITU award was
presented to individuals who had made a significant
contribution to the development of the information society.
